This does everything it needs to; excellent insulation, well-fitting plunger, fits into car beverage holders, solid construction, elegant design. I haven't used the "bonus" lid and I'm not sure I will since I use this for coffee and the grounds would mix back in with the coffee if I removed the plunger lid. Perhaps it would be more useful if the press is being used for tea. As with all cafetieres/tea presses, use a separate one for coffee and tea. Some residue always remains and affects the taste.

I love my travel press.

It is perfect for work and on the go. At my job there is no coffee machine, I am not an instant coffee person and it is only me that drinks it at home so a co-worker told me I should get a coffe press & at first i was going to get an actual press but it is not a mug where you can drink out of it and i ran into this travel one. I have a bag of starbucks coffee in my work drawer and powder creamer for days i dont have milk or cream. I love it so much i bought 4 more as gifts.
